Never mind old man NW.

He's almost as bitter towards USD as he is toward UND. It's an old NCC thing.

USD will get a couple wins in the MVFC this year and will improve as they adjust to the league.

Ya, USD might surprise me and win a few games in the Valley, but I doubt it. WIU and MSU might be the games they might win.

Illinois State piss-pounded them last year holding them to 108 total yards. They are not even close to YSU-UNI-SIU-Ill State-Ind State-NDSU. They might hang tough with SDSU because it is a 'rival' game but the only teams they would have a chance of beating would be WIU and MSU.

Their home games are:

UNI

Colgate will not be a cakewalk for them.

Plus the NDSU game in SF will not be a home game for them. There will be more Bison fans there. Will you mpls?

I agree with Bisonfan in NW MN....win vs Colgate. They lost all their road games last year with a better team. NDSU game will NOT be a home game since its in Sioux Falls so no home field advantage there, SDSU will be a lot more improved and will thump the Yotes. Yotes have YSU and UNI back to back and then Northwestern and ISUr back to back...their schedule is very tough.

All it takes is a couple bounces, they could well win 3 MVFC games this season. WIU, MO St and SDSU.

Looking forward to the Raiders' trip to Vermillion, not really sure what to expect. We performed poorly on the road last year, and haven't travelled this far away from home since...the 2003 playoffs?

Just remember this...USD is extremely tough in their Dakota Dome. Don't overlook this team or you won't win.

I doubt anyone is overlooking the Yotes. Too far of a trip, too unfamiliar of a team. I'm not terribly confident heading in, but that....is why they play the games

I'm not sure who you see as their wins....

@ Montana - < 5% chance of W - 0-1
Colgate - 51/49 toss up...Advantage because they are at home - 1-1
@Northwestern - <1% chance of W - 1-2
Illinois St - 15-20% chance of W - 1-3 (0-1)
Western Illinois 51/49 toss up... advantage due to at home - 2-3 (1-1)
@ Missouri State 49/51 toss up...disadvantage due to road 2-4 (1-2)
NDSU - <5% chance of W - 2-5 (1-3)
@Indiana St - 15-25% chance of W - 2-6 (1-4)
@ Youngstown St <10% chance of W - 2-7 (1-5)
UNI - <5% chance of W - 2-8 (1-6)
@ South Dakota State - 10-20% chance of W - 2-9 (1-8)

The only wins I see them getting are complete toss ups and i gave them advantage because they are at home. They have done POORLY against MVFC teams during their transition and it's going to be rough for quite a while.

Only positive is MSU and WIU are that bad as well.
