Those of you who've been around the board long enough to remember it's previous incarnation might also remember the unofficial AGS Women's Basketball favorite, Katasha Brown from UTC.

Now, I don't go looking for these sorts of things but I just noticed that Colgate could have a contender for the crown of AGS fave: Devon Warwick. Devon was just honored with the "Sixth Man Award" (no joke - interesting award for a Women's team to give out, no?).

Normally, I just stick to the main board on here, so I had no idea until today that little ole Kat was held in such high esteem :). Besides being a great athlete, she is an honor roll student (pre-med), and while she must know she is "hot", I have never seen her come off is snobby about it...she is just a sweet ole Southern girl from Tennessee.

As someone with a press credential that has not missed a Lady Mocs home game (and have travelled to many away games) since Wes Moore took over as head coach, these pictures just don't do Kat justice off the court...when you see her all "dolled up" and out on the town, well the first words that comes to mind are "jaw" and "dropping". :nod:

What is really scary is we also had Katrina Beechboard (a top 100 player nationally) that was supposed to be a freshman this season...imagine...Kat and Kat! This girl was in the Tennessee Miss pageant...but alas, she apparently was worn out from all the years of AAU ball and dropped out of sports all together (what a WASTE!).

...and here is a great football related story concerning Katasha...she was dating one of the guys on the team (which one is escaping me right now)...so she would go down with one of the other girls to watch the football team practice. One day, while wearing shorts and a halter top, her being there became such a distraction to the whole team that Coach Allison finally had to go over and politely ask them to leave (no joke! :p ).

Visions of the scene in "the Replacements" where the cheerleaders distract the opposing team come to mind.

Devon is definitely a hottie too (great profile :rolleyes: ), but Katasha (in my totally biased opinion) is the "total package" (looks, smarts, and hoops).

It is easy to be hot sitting on the bench...it is hard work to be hot and a great athlete ;) (and still have time to make the dean's list every semester)

I mean c'mon, Devon has scored a total of 202 points in 3 years and has only started 3 games (on a team that has gone 42-45 the last 3 years)...

In the same time Kat has scored 1,065 points and started in 56 games (on a team that has been 80-12 and has won post season games in the NCAA and NIT).

There is no downside to Ms. Brown (this season there were a bunch of guys...students...that attended the games and had a big sign...and obvious take on the UPS commercial...that said "what can Brown do for you!"...answer, on the back, "anything she wants"...classic)
