Its time to do what we do so well - go vote and show I-AA muscle.

http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation/polling?event_id=2257

Right now, the I-AA options are getting slaughtered, so hustle up and get out there!

I thought most of the choices were fine. I can't believe the St. Joes Hawk is in last place though, that mascot is a stud!

I voted for every I-AA alternative that I could: the Appy logo, Handsome Dan the Yale bulldog (not that cheap UGA imitation), the Harvard-Yale rivalry. Athens, GA as best college town? BOGUS!!

How would you know, Ivy? You don't seem the type of person who would go slummin'. ;)

In all the years UD has played Maine I've never heard the "Stein" song, is there an internet link?

I agree - you see it on CD's and the like, but I've never head the thing live. MJ, do they even play it at football games (is there even a band)? How about hockey games?

Best costumed mascot: the Lafayette Leopard who one time actually got in a few fights with Lehigh fans (and was doing certain repetitive motions with his tail at them) at the 1994 Lehigh game in Easton.

The WKU Hilltopper should have been in the best costumed mascot category. That thing is awsome.

Looking at the options, there doesn't seem to be any method to the madness!? What, did they just throw darts at a map? or pull names out of a hat?

Looks like they used the top (most popular) programs for most of the selections, then added another one for "balance". Yale probably got the nods because it is in Connecticut - home of ESPN.

This is clearly 1-a biased! App.State probably has the best logo, and Southern's Jaguars are the coolest live mascots that I've seen, along with Leo the Lion at North Alabama and the big fighting gamecock that Jacksonville State had back in the day!
