Cadet will go down as one of the most under-appreciated players in ASU history. Much like Arian Foster at Tennessee, he's remembered more for his faults (fumbling issues) than his talent.

Unfortunately, he was so versatile during his time at ASU, he never seemed to find a position that stuck. I wouldn't say his talent was wasted, but he definitely didn't make as much of an impact as I believe he was capable of making.

Travaris Cadet looked really strong. With all the RB depth the Saints have, I'm not sure he will end up on their roster to begin the season but I do think he will make a team. He is a kid that I would really like to see succeed, a hard worker that did everything asked of him at Appalachian. If he had been given a position to stick to from day one, I doubt he goes undrafted.

How about Corey White from Samford? Saints CB #24 who tied for the lead in tackles with 5.

I also noticed that kick returner Scott from GaSo had one kick return of 70+ yards. SoCon well representedby the newbies.

Not a preseason performance in the traditional sense, but Chris Kuper formerly of North Dakota and Joe Mays formerly of North Dakota State (both current members of the Denver Broncos) visited victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting this preseason.

3 Fordham Rams played in the Arizona - New Orleans matchup: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/gameflash/2012/08/05/5149/index.html?PID=4175070.

The Cardinals (No. 23) are using the preseason to pick a quarterback, with Kevin Kolb and John Skelton competing for the starting job. Kolb got to start the game but had a tough time, throwing an interception on his first pass and leaving after bruising his ribs on the third series.

"He has a bruise in his chest and that makes it kind of tough to rotate, move," coach Ken Whisenhunt said. "I think he'll probably be practicing sometime this week."

Skelton took over and completed 4 of 6 for 32 yards.

"You never want to have an injury in the preseason, especially an early game like this, having to play that fifth preseason game," Skelton said. "But he will be OK."

The Cardinals finished 8-8 last season, Kolb's first in Arizona. He started nine games and threw for nine touchdowns with eight interceptions while learning a new offense on the fly because of the lockout. Skelton filled in when Kolb was hurt and went 5-2 as a starter.

John's brother Stephen played at TE late in the game for the Cardinals and Isa Abdul Quddus played at S for the Saints.

Unfortunately he was already cut.

You have to make the most of your opportunities. He had 3 kicks, one he misjudged, one he had a great return, and on another he should have called fair catch and didn't. 1 out of 3 really won't make it. Here's hoping someone else needs a return specialist/reserve CB.

The play of the day, and perhaps the hardest hit of camp to date belongs to Buster Skrine. Skrine came up from his CB position to blow up Oniel Cousins who was pulling on a sweep play. The crack of the hit echoed throughout the facility followed by screams and hoots from both the fans in the stands and the players watching on the sidelines. Sheldon Brown chased Skrine half way across the field to congratulate the 5’9″ 185 pound CB. Cousins is listed at 6’4″ and 315 pounds. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Cortez Allen looks to be a factor for the Steelers according to Ike Taylor:

And of course Andre Roberts is the solid #2 WR behind Fitz at AZ.

My bad. So 2 out of 4. Not quite as bad, but still, it makes sense.

Who wouldn't want to carry a clipboard for an NFL team. It has worked pretty well for Matt Flynn and Chase Daniels
