To the surprise of no one, former Griz Payton winner and current B.C. Lion starting QB Dave Dickenson was named the Week 1 Offensive Player of the Week in the CFL after going 28-34 (82%) for 362 yards, 5 TDs, and 0 Ints in only three quarters in B.C.'s win over Saskatchewan.

Shades of Air Bear....unforgettable memories--and DD's still gettin' it done in a big way 11 years later.

I watched the entire game. Super Dave puts the ball right on the money each and every throw. Incredible accuracy.

Hey,

Did Dickenson play in that 1994 playoff game against us or was he hurt that game? I can't remember.

If he did, I watched a CFL rematch between him and Kerry Joseph yesterday. This time Kerry led the last second TD drive to victory. ;)

Dave got hurt in 1994 and missed the playoffs. Came back in 1995 and passed for 5600 yards and 52 TD's.

And rarely played in the 4th QTR or very far into it, all year. I truely can't imagine what his stats could have been.

I just don't get it. If Doug friggin' Flutie can make it in the NFL, why can't Dickenson?
