Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins has been placed on the paternity leave list after his wife, Johari, gave birth to their first child, a daughter named Camryn Drew Rollins, late on Sunday.

No big deal you say... But it comes exactly 9 months to the day after he was placed on the DL with a strained groin...

I think a few days off with his family could be a big help, mentally. A couple days away from a frustrating situation is good for coming back with a refreshed mind. I think the guy, as well as others in red pin stripes, are pressing too much thinking they have to 'do more' in the absence of Howard and Utley. They don't have to more, just do what's normally expected. Had that happend they'd have won at least another 6 games this year.
