Who else is praying to God that we pull this out?

That was a wild two minutes. We can definitely win this with the one-man advantage.

Keep your fingers crossed...
Things seem to be going our way, but nothing is certain...
Italy made a substitution just now. That's a change of pace...

Italians sending in Gatusso for Toti.
US needs to stop with the consecutive fouls,

Gatusso getting breaks with these fouls IMO

It looks like the US is showing the strong/aggressive side we were promised in game 1.
Things slowing down now before the break

Terrible red card. There was no comparison between that foul and the red card for Italy. It deserved a yellow but not a straight red.

BS red card indeed - that ref should be shot.

Insult to injury is the loss of our one man advantage.

Good job to hold on to the tie, after getting bent over by the refs with two red cards.

Congratz guys! Now win against Ghana and make sure Italy takes care of business against the Czech Rep. and you should be on to the next round!
How about this for a semifinal: Netherlands - USA ;)

USA finishes second in the group whgich is the best they can do, and they likely face Brazil unless Brazil falters which is unlikely.

I will not pretend to know much about Soccer but will brag when appropriate:D
You can credit a good chunk of the energetic, aggressive play by the American side to former Furman midfielder Clint Dempsey, inserted into the lineup after withering efforts by Eddie Lewis and DaMarcus Beasley against the Czechs convinced coach Bruce Arenato keep both of them on the bench for the start of the match.
