The New Orleans Saints of the National Football League have signed Monmouth safety Jose Gumbs (Queens, N.Y./Hebron Academy) as an undrafted free agent. Gumbs, who agreed to terms shortly after the conclusion of the 2012 draft, joins Dallas Cowboys' wideout Miles Austin, Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chris Hogan and Seattle Seahawks tight end John Nalbone as Hawks currently in the NFL. Austin, a perennial pro bowler, was signed by Dallas in 2006 as an undrafted free agent.
