NY Times article from today (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/15/sports/liverpool-and-red-sox-same-owner-parallel-debacles.html?_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss)

John Henry is the principal owner of two of the sporting world’s most visible, storied and valuable franchises — the Red Sox of Boston and the Reds of Liverpool. Yet at the moment, his baseball and soccer teams are united not in towering success but in stunning collapse.

The Red Sox finished 7-20 last September and missed the playoffs. The new season has brought a nervous start. Meanwhile, Liverpool has won only 3 of its 14 Premier League matches in 2012 and has had its reputation sullied in the clumsy handling of a case of on-field racial taunting by Luis Suárez, its star Uruguayan forward.

When I lived in Boston I kinda used to pay attention to the Red Sox
But moving away has set me free
So it sounds like they're having a rough spring - gosh that's too bad

This owner is terrible.

He could care less if they finish 4th, which could happen, so long as he sells enough Red Sox bricks to commemorate our times at this **** hole that is Fenway Park. It is the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park...which means "we are too ****ing cheap to build you dedicated fans a new park...oh and **** you for not wanting poles to sit behind at full price and stop growing because our seats are not going to gain any more leg room. And don't you dare think this Fenway experience is about the baseball, it is about the ****ing wave and paying the highest ticket prices to watch Josh Becket eat chicken until he pukes all over himself".

I love this team.
