Rodger Cador to stay at SU or Jump to JSU/pro's/cons (http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/southern/featured/3013891.html)
Will he land at Jackson State or is this just to force SU's hand.
I must admit, when this first came out, I was like there is no way Cador leaves SU for JSU to coach baseball.
But the more discussion about the subject I see, I'm beginning to think otherwise:
Full scollies at JSU, brand new Baseball stadium, and a AD, (Bob Braddy), that's a BASEBALL MAN first that happen's to be the guy you did battle against for years so friendship and trust is there.
Throw in the fact that he would be getting paid by JSU plus perks and still pull a FULL PENSION from the State of LA, it could happen.

Sounds like a great gig for Cador, but's he's a Southern man and will most likely stay. Of course, stranger things have happened (Marino Casem from Alcorn State to Southern being one of the biggest) :twocents:

Why is this under I-AA Discussion?
From my understanding, SU is cutting baseball scholarshipss. Seems Jackson St is committed. More power to Cador for forcing SU's hand if that's the case...

SU's not cutting baseball scholarships. They cut them in 2003 after we went 47-7 and had 9 players drafted and Rickie Weeks won every baseball award, and finished in the top 30. : smh : : smh : Its my understanding they are getting the 2.7 back. Hopefully Cador is forcing their hand, but you never know. The State Legislature just approved 1.5 million for SU's baseball locker rooms.
