Illinois State head football coach Brock Spack announced the hiring of Sheldon Cross as the new Redbird tight ends and H-backs coach Tuesday. Cross comes to Illinois State, after serving as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at NCAA Division II New Mexico-Highlands in 2011.
