Southeastern officially released its 2012 schedule. Was supposed to open with Georgia Tech, but switched instead to Missouri who will play their first game as a member of the SEC. Added UAB as the second FBS game.
Good OOC games back-to-back with South Dakota State and UT Martin. Lions to open Southland Conference play against McNeese State on Sept. 22.

That looks like a hell of rough schedule GL94. Good luck to SELA but you guys sure didn't make it easy.

Tough OOC, but if y'all can go 2-2 before conference that'd be ridiculous

It'll be interesting to say the least ... new coaching staff aside, we should be much improved with most of our team coming back, plus I feel we did a good job addressing immediate needs through recruiting, but there are no layups for the Lions this year ... I look forward to the challenge though!

I look forward to the Sept. 8 game against the Rabbits. I wonder if RabidRabbit is going to make it???

Last I heard RR was in NO working so I'd say there is a better than average chance if that is still the case.

Did Simmie Yarborough graduate? I couldn't remember if he was a senior or a junior.
I always liked him..wish he was one of our receivers.

Sadly for the Lions, Simmie has exhausted his eligibility, finishing his career as the SLC's all-time leading receiver ... we also graduated Brandon Collins and Kory Theodore so WR is one area we'll be breaking in some new guys.

Too bad.
I need to go out to Hammond. Haven't been.

Come on over ... Strawberry Stadium is small but a great place to watch a football game ... fans are right on top of the field, with good sight lines, and fun atmosphere when it's full ... hopefully we're playing well late in the year when the Jacks roll into town.
