For a little over $3M, the Phillies signed Kyle Kendrick to a one year deal and I think an option to avoid arbitration. Kendrick is not a dominating pitcher, but he is learning to 'pitch' and has been pretty valuable with his ability to go back and forth from 5th starter when needed to bullpen duty. Hopefully within the next month or so, a long term deal with Hamels will be announced.
