Capping what was a remarkable junior season, Bryant University running back Jordan Brown (Glastonbury, Conn.) finished ninth in voting, including two first-place votes, for the Walter Payton Award, announced Friday by The Sports Network/Fathead.com. Given to the top offensive player in the Football Championship Subdivision, Bo Levi Mitchell from Eastern Washington University became the 25th recipient of the prestigious award. Mitchell received 57 first-place votes and 453 total on his way to an easy victory over Lehigh quarterback Chris Lum (16-219) and Indiana State running back Shakir Bell (10-219).
