The Drake Bulldogs claimed their fifth Pioneer Football League championship with a 9-2 record, 7-1 in the PFL, tying with San Diego. The co-championship was Drake's first conference title since 2004. The Bulldogs won nine games for just the fourth time in school history and went undefeated in six home contests to stretch their Drake Stadium winning streak to 10 games dating back to 2010.
