Brad,

Any rumors on the Rams three non-conf opponents in 2013 when URI joins the NEC?

I thought I read before that UNH will visit Meade in 2013 and URI will return a trip in 2014. And Brown has the Rams penciled in each season until 2017. Just thinking Maine would be a logical non-conf opponent moving forward for Rhode Island.

Also, how many schollys does URI have for 2012? Are you a "bowl counter" for Bowling Green?

Yes, UNH has announced a home and home series with URI for 2013 (Kingston) and 2014 (Durham).

Good question about their "counter" status. I don't recall the exact numbers, but someone posted their plan to drop scholarships to be at the NEC limit of 40 by the start of the 2013 season. If they only drop six to remain bowl eligible, then they'll have to drop 17 for the 2013 season. Are they junior and senior laden so they can achieve the NEC limit by attrition? Can they sign anyone the next two years? xconfusedx xconfusedx

Hopefully not. No offense to URI, but I'd rather see Maine with a steady diet of home and homes with Albany, Stony Brook and Central Connecticut.
