13th loss in a row...they're now 10-35 and 22 games behind the Tigers...The Royals are on pace to finish 36-126...meanwhile the Tigers are on pace to finish 114-48...which means the Royals would finish 78 games out of first place...:rotateh:
of course usually these things even out...:)

Worse than the '62 Mets?
Glad I didn't throw out my "KC Sucks" cap from the '80 World Series!
Only 2 road wins so far this year? : smh :

KC has a nice stadium... I'd go there for the view instead of the baseball.

Yeah, something like 20-118 by the 1890-something Cleveland Spiders.

It's worth remembering though that those Spiders played every game on the road that season.
The modern benchmark for losing is of course the '62 Mets, who finished with a record of 42-120. The 2003 Tigers came close, losing about 118 games. Three years later they have the best record in baseball. :rotateh: :read:

Here's the list of the worst teams ever:
1899 Cleveland Spiders NL 20-134
1962 New York Mets NL 40-120
2003 Detroit Tigers AL 43-119
1916 Philadelphia Athletics AL 36-117
and so on...
http://baseball-almanac.com/recbooks/games_lost_records.shtml
An interesting point...the 99 Spiders lost 40 of their last 41, and only 42 of their games were at home...(9-33) which isn't terrible (ok, yes it is), but 11-101 on the road (.098 win pct.)...wow...

I think they then moved to Richmond and then donned football jerseys the next season. xlolx

Go Royals!!!!
Beat the Yankees 7-5 last night...
It was especially sweet considering how my local paper wrote an editorial saying that the Royals are the medicene an ailing Yankee staff needs.. and how the Yankees are salivating to play the Royals..
..well I their tounges have just dried up.. let's go Royals sweep!
