We can all compare this and that. The truth is, both teams are about to play the best FCS team they have played all year long. Sagarin gives points for home field for a reason. It will matter. GSU didn't score 50 pts on everybody and NDSU didn't shut everybody out.

The Fargodome is a miserable place for opponents to play, that is why they have lost 8 games there in their entire FCS existence. It may be a fast surface but it hurts to get tackled on. That tends to wear teams down as the game goes on. I like NDSU's chances given everything I have seen of both teams. I will probably not be as reasoned as the pages go on but at least we can mark now where I have stated a clear, honest opinion.

For the record... I've never never never said this was a good year for the CAA, or any CAA team was dominant, or should win the National Championship. The only thing I ever said was Towson was my 'dark horse', aka long shot, to win it all. We see how that ended up. I also called Maine to upset Apps, and that happened like clock-work. But that's about it.

I'd say the 3 games to look at to stop Ga Southern would be Delaware last year, Chattannoga this year (even though Chatty lost), and App State.

And in all three games, you'd be observing at a completely different lineup across the offensive line.

Folks don't seem to understand that the move of William Maxwell to center, and the rearranging of our line after that move, has resulted in a lot of the improvement we've seen since the App State game.

NDSU may stone us for zero yards. This may be the game we don't score a point. But since that Appalachian State game, and the decision to move some players around, we've been playing better offensively. And since that game, our competition has significantly improved.

Take that for whatever it is worth.

Most teams usually piss themselves when they realize what they're up against. It'd be nice to have some sort of drainage so we don't have to wallow in your filth while you try to figure out a way to slow down GSU.

We had the crown removed on our field a few years ago when Hatcher installed his passing attack. He didn't like the QB's having to account for the change in drop to the sidelines.

Our OL coach and OC played for NDSU during our option era. The OL coach was a grad asst for a few years as well.

Coach Bohl was at NDSU for one season in the 80s and he of course played for and coached at Nebraska for a number of years.

Very excited about this game. The fargo dome is one of several stadiums in FCS that I have never visited, but really want to. It will be an experience to check off the list. It seems all these NDSU fans on AGS know how to do is say how we "beat alabama", "bought out the game", "could give the packers trouble", "team speed is nothing"... This GSU fan was dissappointed in the buyout, as I said, this is one trip I have been dying to make. With that on the table, I sure hope your team has more than a hummingbirds *** to keep up with the mocking bird mouths of your fans. I think the Bison will find out that their hands are full on Saturday and I expect a great game.

We don't feel the need to beat people by three TDs, either. Problem is that our backups (and remember, Swope was one of those for a while) are just as good as the starters. I think the takeaway from my comments should be that I hope NDSU is underestimated because they only beat JMU by 12. Please, please PLEASE keep that thinking in mind.

I've noticed you guys talking about your team being deep a lot, and I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers like some folks on here. But do you think maybe because you guys rotate so much it could give you problems? Instead of having to make sure 4 DL's and 3 LB's are totally prepared to defend the option and know their assignments you have to get this totally new defensive gameplan into the heads of 7-8 DL's and 5-6 LB's. NDSU's defense has a knack for turning over the opponent. An early turnover would be a huge detriment to the Eagles and benefit for the Bison. I don't think it would crack the top 20 in either category, unless it's a heartbreaker like last year. EWU loss was definately a top 20 loss.
