As the UMass football team prepares to embark on its biggest transition in program history, Charley Molnar will draw upon 28 years of experience to lead the Minutemen into the Football Bowl Subdivision and the Mid-American Conference. Molnar was officially named the 29th head coach of the UMass football program on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the new home of the Minutemen - Gillette Stadium.
