Warren Smith (Forked River, N.J.) threw for 250 yards and three scores and the Black Bear defense came up big as the No. 13 Maine football team defeated #9 Appalachian State 34-12 in a NCAA Second Round Game on Saturday. Maine is now 9-3 while Appalachian State finishes its year at 8-4.
