Central Connecticut running back Chris Tolbert was the leading contributor in what wound up being the top single-game team rushing output (359 yards) in Northeast Conference play this season. The NEC Offensive Player of the Week carried the Blue Devils to a comeback victory at Bryant. NEC Defensive Player of the Week Zach Gallo had five stops, two pass break-ups and a pivotal pick in UAlbany's title-clinching victory over Sacred Heart. The Danes (7-1) share the NEC crown with Duquesne (7-1), but earned the automatic NCAA FCS playoff bid over the Dukes due to a head-to-head 38-10 victory on Oct. 8.
