Woke up at 5:30am in Butte -9 degrees.
Started driving to Bozeman and was noticing an abundance of #4 license plates also heading east on I-90. Roads were not bad over Homestake Pass and it was getting a lot warmer -4. Turned off the interstate at the Ennis exit to hit the Town Pump. Got out to put gas in the truck and had 3 different cars drive by that were leaving....all of them yelled FTG. I went inside to buy a 24 pack of Budweiser to pay off a bet I lost to TomCat88. Continued on to Bozeman and it was already above 2 degrees and climbing like a rocket.
Driving up Huffine Lane from 4 corners started to remind me of why I hated living in Bozeman....speed limit is posted at 55 and traffic was accelerated to a whopping 36 MPH.......I later realized that was a precursor to the day (36-10). Arrived at the stadium and parked in the field to the west of the stadium and was only told to ***** off 2 times as I walked through the snow to the tailgate area. I noticed everyone staring at me and couldnt figure out if it was my Griz gear which always looks stunning or the fact that they had never seen a fat guy wearing shorts before. Walked into my friend Kevins tailgate party, said hello to a bunch of guys I met the previous trip to Bozeman and started receiving the good kind of ribbing that makes this kind of rivalry great. They asked me what I thought about the game and I told them they showed up for nothing because not only are the Griz going to win they will win by 13+ I told them all I was going to have A LOT OF CONSOLING TO DO with that many people in the parking lot.
They laughed and said I had too much to drink on the drive over.
I left that tailgate to head over to the Bobcat Nation tailgate and meet up with Randy and Kevin. As always the people at that tailgate were gracious and good natured. We all walked over to watch the Bobcat prowl and this is where I take FULL CREDIT for the way Saturdays game played out. Just before the Prowl started Rob Ash was riding back to "The Brick" in a golf cart and was high fiving people. I step out into the roadway in full Griz gear and shorts and I am sure Ash made them slow down so he could High 5 AG1...(I am sure Ash would tell you that looking back, it was the highlight of his day).......little did he know that when contact was made I had put an extremely serious voo doo hex on him.
This game was already over.
Kevin and Randy can verify this part of story. I told them it had nothing to do with the fact that the cat offense didnt really match up well with the Griz defense.
They laughed and insisted that I must have had too much to drink on the drive over from Butte.
Walked around after the Prowl and took some photos of the game day activities. Lots of extremely cordial cat fans commented and wished me well in their own unique way, FTG, "look at that fat fag wearing dark pink", and my favorite, "why did you even make the trip Grizhole". I did look for that guy after the game, to explain why but I think he left before the game was over.
Stadium fills up game starts and I was shooting video from my seat. I was the only Griz fan in the section I was in. Then security comes over and tells me I have to leave my seat. I said I had a ticket for the seat I was in and that didnt seem to matter. I was told I have 2 options, leave the seat or leave the stadium, I told them they had 2 options and they didnt like either of them. So I left the area and proceeded to walk around and take pictures and shoot video. I ended up in the standing room only area on the NW side of the field.
This my friends is where the magic happened.
I was standing by myself and watching the game unfold pretty much like I thought it would, I met some of the best representatives that MSU has ever had in the 25 years I have been attending games in Bozeman. They were so bad and obnoxious I considered leaving, but then I decided to award them with the honorary degree of "Douchebag Emeritus", and the only way they were getting me to leave my seat again is if many cops were escorting me out of that stadium. I usually dont talk a lot of smack (maybe 2-3 mins at a time) but these 3 guys made me dig down deep and take **** to a level that has never been seen in Bobcat Stadium. I was pretty much on cruise control for the next 48 mins of non stop make a complete *** out of myself mode. I was so obnoxious I had Griz fans asking me to tone it down and asking me how much I had to drink, they got told to GFT as well......these dickheads hammered me for 1 qtr and I gave it back for the next 3.
1 of 4 ratio.....they should be able to figure that one out....they live it.
The plan was to engrave myself in their gray matter so deep and painful that their last few seconds on earth, before they check out for good, they would remember the single biggest assh*le Griz fan they ever met.

There were a group of 7-9 UM college students that jumped aboard the AG1 express and helped shout these guys out of our "home away from home" stadium.
I remember the trail of tears exodus from a few years ago and this year would have been a repeat performance but the cat fans that were actually at the stadium in 2011 didnt leave the same way. IMO this is because these guys really bought into the hype and were stunned and confused when leaving the stadium, this metered their departure so there wasnt a focused trail like last time.
This game was so one sided that I noticed TJ spent more time taunting the crowd than he did covering Akpla, in any other game I would have commented that he was just being a thuggish jackass like he has been most of his career but not today, today this crowd deserved everything they got for their behavior the 2 weeks leading up to the game and especially their game day behavior. I cant tell you how many text messages I got from cat fans before this game but I can tell you how many I have got since the game was played........and I will tell you how many they will receive in the next few days........1 I Told You So.
Final thoughts, to the kid I used for a toboggan, you deserved it, you opened your mouth and I filled it with snow. I hope a lesson was learned. To the parents of the kid I used as a toboggan, I didn't know he was 9, he opened his mouth and I filled it with snow.........this isnt Penn St but it is a microcosm of your kids life if he continues to be a cat fan.
A very special thank you to the girl that stood in front of me at the game................"breakfast was wonderful".......I am sure that what you were thinking. Your welcome.

Thanks to all the good cat fans that "get it" you are not who this was directed at and YES I know we have some of the same fans in Missoula. When I see them act this way I am man enough to tell them to STFU and have some class.
Also, this was the first Griz cat game I ever attended, where I had zip, zero, nadda to drink......until I drove back to Billings.
See you cats in 3-4 weeks if you can keep up.
