Sam Houston State running back Tim Flanders, who recorded his sixth 100-yard game of the season to led the Bearkats to a 36-14 non-conference win at Texas State, was named the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday. Additionally, Stephen F. Austin defensive end Willie Jefferson was named the conference defensive player of the week and McNeese State wide receiver/kick returner Darius Carey was named the conference special teams player of the week.
