A few weeks after the fact, but it's always good to give some pub to the non-scholarship leagues when we can on this board. Hopefully they can televise the game on CSTV or something, to give these schools even more to aim for at the end of the year...

The University at Albany football team has a chance to play in a postseason game again.
The Northeast Conference, of which UAlbany is a member in football only, announced Tuesday that its regular-season champion will meet the winner of the Pioneer League in an event called the Gridiron Classic that will begin this coming season.
UAlbany hasn't played in the postseason since a 24-0 win over Duquesne in the 2002 ECAC Classic, a game that matched up the champions of the Northeast Conference and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The ECAC Classic was halted after the 2003 season when the MAAC withdrew from the event.
"It was nice when we played Duquesne," UAlbany coach Bob Ford said. "I thought that was kind of thrilling. It's always nice to have a (postseason) game to shoot for. The Pioneer League is a pretty good conference."
