Pretty classless move if you ask me. Hopefully it fires up the Oilers & helps them move on to the Western Conference finals.

I seriously think most of American hockey fans who boo Oh Canada are retarded. Don't they realize more than half of their own team is Canadian? So yes.. boo your own players' homeland.. nice motivation there.

I was going to say the same thing. While I think it is classless maybe now they will see how it feels when they have done it. : smh :

This is nothing new. I recall a vocal minority doing the same thing at Bruins games when I lived in New England in the late 90's.

Canadiens are generally fairly classy people, at least at the high levels of international relations. The country has a reputation for having fairly nice people, so it doesn't surprise me that they would do that. It shows they're bigger than the morons in San Jose who booed "Oh, Canada," which as mentioned earlier is not only rude but idiotic considering that fifteen of the twenty-nine people on San Jose's roster are Canadien:doh: .

By the way, "Oh, Canada" is the only national anthem that can possbily top ours, in my opinion. When sung well, it is spectacular.

They actually mentioned that when it happend on TV. There are 5 or so Candians on the Shark's team. I am not a fan of Canada, but I respect their national anthem. Not to mention the Oilers just kicked the cr@p out of San Jo tonight.

Hell, it happend in Montana at the Junior Hockey Championship (I have no idea what division), Great Falls Americans vs some Canadian team.

The Canadians were all on one side and we were on another, I was afraid a riot was going to break out. U - S - A kept being chanted. Twas fun. ;D We lost. :(

That's right. Anyone who ever heard Wayne Messmer (Black Hawks) or Roger Doucette (Canadiens) ever sing it will never forget it. It sends chills up your spine. I'm glad Edmonton won, especially digging out of a 2-0 hole.
