The SoCon’s Decided; Decision Day is Saturday for the Big South

Georgia Southern capped a stellar season that included several weeks as the top team in FCS by becoming the top team in the Southern Conference for 2011. The Eagles won for the fourth consecutive time in Spartanburg, pulling away from Wofford in the second half for a 31-10 win, the conference title, and the league’s automatic bid. Meanwhile, the top two teams in the Big South Conference will battle in the shadow of the Big Apple this Saturday to claim that conference’s title and automatic bid. Liberty and Stony Brook won’t have to worry about any tiebreaker system. It’s winner take all at Stony Brook on Sunday.
