Lehigh Softball to face #13 Texas A&M

Lehigh's softball team will be in the Northeast Regional at Amherst, MA and face the Aggies in the first game of the tournament on Friday. UMass and Albany will face off in the second game. Mountain Hawks are 41-12, tying the school record for wins in a season. Game will be broadcast on www.lehighsports.com

Lehigh's strength this year has been their pitching, as well as defense. As I've noted in other posts, they have a freshman phenom named Lisa Sweeney who is like 24-4, and in the tournament pitched 17+ innings striking out 21, leaving up only 4 hits and one run. Certainly, going up one the big powers from the Big 12 will be a big challenge, but I think they will acquit themselves well.
