b-b-b-b-but NDSU lost to an UNRANKED team! How are they still in the top 25!?!??!

So, assuming JMU/Youngstown State win next week ... do their respective places in the Top 25 (or not in, in YSU case), play into the committee's decisions?

IF JMU wins next week, they should be in the 13-18 range (depending on teams in front of them) ... if YSU wins they should move into the top 25 but definitely won't surpass JMU ... I wonder how much each team's rankings in the Media Poll at season's end play into the committee's decision.

pretty ridiculous to have Indiana State and YSU out of the top 25, IMO.

Stony Brook might be a little snubbed. But seriously, who is still voting for William and Mary?

Don't think people said they shouldnt be in top 25, the main argument was that they shouldn't be above GSU.

because they didnt clear it with TheFan before releasing it...he would have been like " NO NO NO!!! They are supposed to be outside of the top 5!! Go back and fix it" or something like that

I wouldn't be surprised at all if they don't even pay attention to the polls this season. Even last year wasn't EWU #1 in the polls and was seeded #5?? I could see them just saying screw all the polls and we will look at this ourselves.

Well, even if that is the case, I think that definitely benefits JMU. To be in the discussion JMU has to beat UMass Saturday ...and if that happens, JMU is 5-0 against FCS teams with their starting QB Justin Thorpe, and 2-3 without him (and even of those games, two were losses to top 10 teams by a combined 4 points).

South Dakota has 6 wins on the year and 3 of them are DII or NAIA wins...why are they ranked? Plus they beat Missouri S&T and move up from 24 to 22? Time for UND to knock them out of the poll by kicking their butt on Saturday for the GWFC Title.

South Dakota's ranking is an absolute joke. YSU has beaten a top 5 team, a top 15 team and played a decent game vs Michigan State.

USD has beaten nobody of significance and have THREE non-DI wins. THREE, it's a joke.

If UND picked Missouri S&T, Lindenwood, and NW OK State maybe we could be in the polls, I guess UND picked the wrong 3 DII/NAIA teams to play.

I'll say it every week, what does South Dakota have to do to get out of the top 25?

Also, why is Maine so low? Their one FCS loss is to CAA leader Towson! They lost by a touchdown to FBS Pittsburgh. What makes Old Dominion better than Maine or three loss App. St.? They are over 200 votes lower than ODU. Do people forget to vote for them? Give Richmond/Villanova/Delaware that same record and same schedule and they're in the top 5.

Old Dominion isn't better than Maine in my mind. This has been the worst year for this poll maybe ever.
