Please post your rankings. Points should be given to teams based on where they land in your top 25 system, 25 points for 1st place, 24 for 2nd, etc.
I'd love to see what you come up with.
This kind of stuff is sort of what I live for - college football and math.

Here is my top 25

There is GOOD reason that CAA teams have been beating the crap out of one another. Parity... at the top. They are still in the top spot, with the SoCon a close second.

Uhh ... you have Delaware at #25 and 6-4 JMU unranked? Yeah, you have no authority to be ranking conferences, let alone teams.

There is no way a #1 ranked team loses at home to an unranked conference opponent and stays at #1.

He has five MVFC teams in the top 11. If you are going to post a conference ranking, try to remove the homer rankings.

LOL at a rather well-placed grammatical error. :)

I'll agree that JMU hasn't blown the doors off anyone this year, but they lost @ 9-2 ODU by 3 points, to 8-2 Maine by 1 pt in OT. Lost to 8-2 UNH in a pretty ugly game, and lost big to FBS UNC. We are also 4-0 against FCS teams with our starting QB (Thorpe) and were 2-3 without him starting a rFr. Not making excuses, but I think JMU is better than 27!

That's a good argument.

I think the CAA is suffering from the teams it has at the top. ODU/Maine/Towson and UNH are all likely going to finish at 8-3 or better. Four teams at 8-3 or better is remarkable for any conference ... and if those 4 teams were JMU/UD/Richmond and Villanova ... you bet they would be much higher ranked than Maine/ODU/Towson and UNH are currently. Having a 5th team at 7-4 (if JMU wins at UMass) furthers the argument ... 4 teams at 8-3 or better and one at 7-4. I think the CAA is suffering from not having the name recognition at the top this year.

You have Maine 3 spots ahead of a team they lost 40-30 to at Home?

Yeah, I have. If you look a couple of posts down from the original post... I just decided not to edit it. Thought it was pretty funny as is.

TEAM CONF OVERALL
Maine 6-1 8-2
Towson 6-1 8-2
Old Dominion 6-2 9-2
New Hampshire 5-2 7-3
Delaware 4-3 6-4
James Madison 4-3 6-4
Massachusetts 3-4 5-5
William & Mary 2-5 4-6
Rhode Island 2-5 3-7
Villanova 1-6 2-8
Richmond 0-7 3-7

That looks pretty accurate to me. I bet if you go back to the conference standings at this point the last few years and you've got similar results, just different team names.

Body of work
It should be noted that the separation between these schools in the ranking system I use is very, very small. Looks like it comes down to SOS.

This is all good assuming all teams in the conferences are ranked in the top 25,but top to bottom the CAA is the toughest conference.Conference power ranking are solidified based upon the bottom half, everyone has their hand full of ranked teams.
1a-CAA
1b-SoCon
