Olympic champion Justin Gatlin broke the 100-meter world record Friday with a time of 9.76 seconds at the Qatar Grand Prix.

The American sprinter lowered the mark of 9.77 seconds set by Jamaica's Asafa Powell on June 14, 2005, in Athens, Greece.

It's a shame that this isn't getting as much pub as it deserves...

Back in the day, this would be the headline of the day...

Not seeing it have much run...

Glad to see it stateside once more...

I think Tim Montgomery and Marion Jones, both of which are my customers, have ruined ir for everyone. Don't get me wrong, as people, they are great, but as athletes, they are sketch.

That didn't last too long...

An "error" now gives us two men holding the record...

How are you going to disrespect your CUSTOMERS in a public forum like this? That is just wrong. What if someone were to send this link to them? How would you feel about that?

Well, for one, I haven't seen them in over 6 months, so probably won't again.

Two, its my personal opinion. Just b/c its public doesn't mean I can't express my opinion.
